Engineering, procurement & construction agreements (or EPC agreements; not to be confused with Energy Performance Contracts) are agreements that provide the legal framework for the design and engineering of a clean energy system, procurement of equipment and materials, issues related to the actual construction of the project, and installation of clean energy capital equipment. An important point to note is that all engineering, procurement, construction, and installation issues can be addressed in a single master agreement or in a series of individual contracts, the choice depending on the requirements and complexity of a particular project.
