Proposed case
  • Install waste heat recovery on the power generator to recover 50% of the heat at a cost of $10,000
  • Install a water to water heat exchanger to recover heating and cooling energy from the industrial process system for an additional $10,000
  • Characteristics of the stream flows in the heat exchanger are:
  • Heat exchanger efficiency 70%
