Typical Costs for Heat Exchangers
Note : Shell and tube exchangers are generally available for lower flow rates from 2 to 20 L/s, while plate exchangers are generally available for higher flow rates of 20 to 100 L/s. The cost ranges are for water/glycol and steam fluids. In some cases, a more corrosive fluid (e.g. sea water or other brines) might be used requiring much more expensive heat exchanger materials.
